The 1968½ Ford Mustang GT Cobra Jet was a high-performance, drag-strip focused muscle car introduced in April 1968, featuring a specially rated 335-hp (actually ~410-hp) 428-cubic-inch V8 engine, functional ram-air hood scoop, and reinforced components. It dominated street and track, offering 445 lb-ft of torque, with options for a 4-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission, often adorned with GT badges and a blacked-out hood stripe.
