The 1970 Plymouth GTX is an upscale American muscle car known as a "gentleman's muscle car," combining aggressive styling and powerful V8 engines with a more refined interior and features than its sportier counterparts. It was equipped with a standard 440ci "Super Commando" V8, with performance-oriented options including the 440+6 "Six Barrel" and the legendary 426 Hemi. The 1970 model received styling updates, including a new grille, smoother body lines, a "power bulge" hood with a single scoop for the optional Air Grabber system, and non-functional rear brake scoops
