The 1934 Bugatti Type 59 is the last great Bugatti Grand Prix car, known for its elegant, aerodynamic design, sophisticated piano-wire wheels, and powerful, supercharged 3.3-liter straight-eight engine producing 250 hp. Debuting in 1933, it was a technical marvel, but after a single season of Grand Prix racing, it was converted into a successful sports car, fitted with a dry-sump gearbox and new chassis/bodywork, making it one of the fastest sports cars in France by 1937.
