The 1965–1967 Opel Diplomat Coupé V8 is a rare (347 units), luxury pillarless hardtop coupe produced by Karmann for Opel, blending German engineering with American muscle. It featured a 5.4-liter Chevrolet V8 engine (230 hp), a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, and a lavish interior, designed to compete with luxury, high-speed grand tourers.
