In 1973, American driver Peter Revson had a successful season in the McLaren M23 Formula 1 car, winning the British Grand Prix and the Canadian Grand Prix, marking his only two F1 victories. He also competed in the Indy 500 and other races for the McLaren Indy team, though his Indy 500 ended early due to a crash. His 1973 F1 season was his most successful in the sport before his untimely death in 1974.
